Frequently asked questions
The Volumizing & Shine Sensitive Skin is formulated for people with both fine, limp hair and a sensitive or reactive scalp. Soy proteins add volume, softness, and shine. Oat extract soothes a dry scalp. The formula is available fragrance-free (ideal for the most fragrance-sensitive skin) or with a light chamomile scent. EWG Verified® and dermatologically tested.
The classic Volumizing Shampoo (Super Leaves, soy & cranberry) is a standard scented formula suited to most scalps. The Volumizing & Shine Sensitive Skin also includes oat extract to soothe the scalp, is offered fragrance-free or with a very light chamomile scent, and is formulated with 98.1% natural-origin ingredients — a step above the classic version. If your scalp reacts to fragrances or standard shampoos, the Sensitive Skin version is the better fit.
Yes. Performance — volume, shine, manageability — is identical between the fragrance-free and chamomile versions. The only difference is the sensory experience. The fragrance-free version is especially recommended for those who want to avoid fragrances altogether.
Yes. Its gentle, non-aggressive formula can be used at your usual washing frequency. For a scalp that gets oily quickly, washing 2 to 3 times a week is generally enough. If your scalp produces a lot of sebum on top of being sensitive, alternating with the Clarifying Shampoo once a week can help maintain scalp comfort.
